the jump-off point to the islands |
After breakfast at our B&B, we headed to Bikal port to
begin our island-hopping adventure. The trip via habal-habal took about 20
minutes. Bikal port is pretty basic, not what you would expect to find in a
fast-growing tourist destination but it adds to the unspoiled character of the
place.

so ready to rumble... |
We rented a small outrigger boat for ₱2000 to take us to Sabitang
Laya in Bagieng island. The weather was uncharacteristically wet and windy for the
season though. We were just hoping it wouldn’t rain too hard.

our first glimpse of Sabitang Laya island |
Thankfully, the 15-minute boat ride was relatively smooth, and all of us can swim quite well anyway, so it wasn’t too scary. Even when the
boat dinged a rock and tipped to one side for a few seconds, nothing, absolutely
nothing, can take away our giddy anticipation. Oh look, over there! That’s Sabitang
Laya and it’s gorgeous…
i hope we can go too, do share about the budget we'd need para makaipon na haha
ReplyDeleteI'll post about the expenses later sis.
