Airphil Express ₱1 promo

So Airphil Express has learned from Cebu Pacific, huh? I opened my email this morning and found out from my friend Bal that Airphil has a piso promo for all their domestic destinations. Travel period is from June1 to July 31, 2012. I don’t know, but I think I might be getting addicted to these airline promos.

I just had to book a flight--it’s so cheap at ₱338--about the same price I pay for a cab everyday! Too bad I can only get a one-way ticket to Coron (Busuanga) since there’s no promo ticket left available for the day I wanted. I guess I have to wait for Cebu Pacific’s piso fare promo to book for my flight back to Manila. I just hope there would be no typhoon on the dates I’ve chosen, though. Fingers crossed.

Update: Booked a flight from Busuanga to Manila for ₱354... so it's official, barring emergencies, I'll be in Coron June 25-27, 2012. It's funny but when I tried to book for a round trip ticket earlier, there wasn't a piso fare available to Manila on the 27th. Hmm... I guess it pays to be persistent, eh?

Cebu Pacific Piso Fare Promo

Piso fare!
Cebu Pacific Air has been offering this piso fare for ages, but I haven't been lucky enough to successfully book one for myself. I've tried many times before but either the Cebu Pacific website freezes up on me or they run out of tickets for the travel dates I wanted. So when I woke up at 2am this morning--I've been on 24-hour duty so I only got to sleep when I got home in the afternoon--and saw on Facebook that there's a piso sale for domestic flights, I wasn't too hopeful. I mean, how many times could I suffer terrible disappointment, huh?

I was not expecting to get anything this time because the promo was on its 2nd day when I found out about it but hope springs eternal as they say, so I scooted over to the Cebu Pacific website anyway. After minutes of scouring and scrolling back in forth and swallowing my disappointment that December 22 wasn't available anymore for my annual Christmas trip home... voila!

my precioussss...

I found one for my trip back to Manila from Naga! I know it's supposed to be a piso fare promo but factor in the government fees and taxes (PHP 250.52!) plus the web admin. fee (PHP 80), I had to pay PHP 331.52 via my BPI credit card which is still a sweet deal. I usually have to pay PHP 1000-2800 one way for the same route depending on the date I booked my flight, so this is pretty awesome. If I can get piso fare tickets for our family trip to Singapore and Malaysia next summer, that would be wonderful.
