the M/B Harry boat |
After putting off our departure for two days due to heavy
rains, we finally got in the car with my Mama, auntie Alice, uncle Mar, sisters
Mayet, Anne and Maris with her 3 kids Jian, Mariel and Mikee, our cousin Manay
Malyn and Davey our cousin-in-law and tour guide. So twelve people fitting in
one SUV? No problem. Our butts have the ability to shrink when needed, I tell you.
It’s a 30-minute drive from our house to the Sabang port in San Jose town. Since
Sabang doesn’t have a working port (apparently a typhoon blew away everything
years ago), we had to be carried by porters to the boat which
was anchored far from the beach. It’s really quite weird to be lifted on the
shoulders of these guys (for 20 pesos or more depending on how generous you feel), but it’s better than swimming, right? They’re pretty
strong men and we did not see anyone fall so it’s all good.

excitement's in the air... |
So we enthusiastically hopped aboard the M/B Harry (fare: 150 pesos/person) and immediately started cam-whoring. What?!? We think we're a photogenic lot, obviously, haha. It was a smooth ride. Even a little rain could not dampen our spirits. Caramoan, here we come!
Obvious nga na excited kayo sis.(:
